Girls Ages 10, 11 Sexually Assaulted In Separate Prince William Cases: Police

Prince William County Police are investigating two recent and unrelated incidents of sexual assault involving minors, officials said.

The first occurred in Woodbridge between March 2019 and December 2019, but the investigation began in September 2021, Prince William County Police said.

The victim, who was about 10 years around, reported that her family member, a 19-year-old man, sexually assaulted her, police said.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was also a juvenile, officials said.

The suspect was charged on July 19 with aggravated battery, police reported.

Police said he has a pending court date and was held without bond. 

The second incident occurred around July 13 in Manassas, when an 11-year-old girl accused a family member of sexual assault, Prince William County Police said. 

On July 19, Jose Flores Castro, 35, was arrested on two counts of aggravated sexual battery, one count of assault and battery, and other related offenses, officials said. 

Police said Castro's court date is pending and he was being held without bond.
